About This Onsen
Located in the woods, at about 100 meters of the Hoki river, Fudo no yado offers a great, atmospheric bathing. Unfortunately, it is also a famous bath, which tends to be often crowded. We stopped in this place, located at the entrance of the village, after one full day of bathing in Shiobara onsen. In September, the whole area tends to be really crowded, since many Japanese go there to enjoy the colors of autumn. We were hoping to get rid of the crow by soaking there after the sunset. In fact, the bath was still quite crowded, but at least it made the undressing easier. We were lucky to have one cell phone with a lamp, as there is no lightening at all. Bring therefore some light if you plan to go there during the night, as the pathway is difficult to follow.
