About This Onsen
Onsen famous to cure skin problem, you can find a mud bath and steaming bath called mushiburo (蒸し風呂 むしぶろ)As some of you perhaps know, in the north of Tohoku, in Aomori and Akita prefecture, the people use to speak a kind of dialect named Akita-ben. When I was there and some old Japanese try to speak with me in this dialect about the very bad weather we had, I can not understand really what there were speaking about. So just learn this two words for the rainy day : ameko (little rain) and okame (big rain) and they will be delighted to hear some Akita-ben spoken by a foreigner.
